THERE have been no recorded coronavirus deaths in the county's hospitals according to the daily statistics.

The latest NHS England figures, released today (December 13), show no new deaths.

As it stands the number of deaths in Worcestershire Acute Hospital Trust's hospitals are at 379, and at Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust it stands at 33.

This means that in total there have been 412 Covid-19 related deaths in Worcestershire hospitals.

And in all settings, including care homes and hospices, there have been at least 656 deaths.

The Acute Hospitals Trust covers Worcestershire Royal Hospital, as well as the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital.

The Health and Care NHS trust covers community hospitals and rehabilitation wards, including Worcester City Impatient Unit, Malvern Community Hospital, Evesham Community Hospital, Pershore Community Hospital, the Princess of Wales Community Hospital in Bromsgrove, Tenbury Community Hospital and the Wyre Forest Ward.

Nationally today there have been 159 deaths announced.

Patients were aged between 47 and 97-years-old. All except five (aged 55 to 89 years old) had known underlying health conditions. Their families have been informed.
