WORCESTER'S own Ginny Lemon is back on our screens as one of the 12 queens competing to be crowned the UK’s next drag superstar on the second series of BBC Three’s Drag Race UK.

Ginny Lemon, 31, will be trying to impress RuPaul, but they have already faced a fearsome panel of judges.

The drag queen made it to boot camp on The X Factor in 2017 after a very unique performance of Just A Little by Liberty X in the auditions.

Ginny, who has the signature catchphrase 'fancy a slice?', burst onto TV screens saying - "I'm from Worcester- just like the sauce", during auditions held at Thorpe Park in Surrey, Greater London.

Sharon Osbourne told Ginny: ‘Do you know what Ginny, you’re a great visual performer, you just need to tone it down.’

After calling group members Descendance a ‘nightmare’ to work with, Ginny did Pete Burns proud as they belted out Dead Or Alive’s You Spin Me Right Round

Unfortunately, the chaotic group performance wasn’t enough to get Ginny to the six chair challenge.

Ginny now has another shot at reality TV glory. In the Drag Race UK intro video, the queen said: "I’m the hairiest woman in show business. I’m the only non-binary drag queen in the UK… with a sense of humour.

"I think my ideal look is a 90s daytime TV presenter on acid. I’m basically a drag troll. I’m an improvisational comedienne. I’m going to be bringing you a down to earth, working class sense of humour. You’ll get high energy, you’ll get madness, you’ll get the unplanned."

Fans were loving that Ginny wants to bring ‘alternative drag’ to the main stage, and they also gained a new legion of fans thanks to their Kate Bush knuckle tattoos and the fact they wore yellow Crocs for their Drag Race shoot.

Ginny is joined in the cast by Tayce, Joe Black, A’Whora, Tia Kofi, Ellie Diamond, Sister Sister, Bimini, Veronica Green, Asttina Mandella, Cherry Valentine and Lawrence Chaney.

RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Alan Carr and Graham Norton are all back for the new series, with celebrity guest judges to join the panel each week.

Drag Race fans will be spoiled for choice, as the new UK series will air concurrently with season 13 of the original US version. Series one of Drag Race UK was won by Scouse queen The Vivienne, after a tense final with Baga Chipz and Davina Di Campo.
