THE city and the wider county's coronavirus infection rate has continued to rise according to the latest figures.

The infection rate in Worcester increased to 207.5 cases per 100,000 people with 210 cases in the week up to December 27.

Worcestershire’s infection rate in the week up to December 27 rose to 234.3 cases per 100,000 people with 1,396 cases recorded in the seven days.

Infection rates continued to increase in every part of the county - with Bromsgrove the highest on 340 cases per 100,000 people.

Redditch rose to 228.7 cases per 100,000 people in the seven days, while Malvern Hills was up to 142.3 cases per 100,000 people.

Wyre Forest was up to 227.1 cases per 100,000 people, while Wychavon was up to 238.7 cases per 100,000 people.
