SIR – Having read the large headlines (City’s new man, January 5) on the back page and then read the accompanying article – in which WCFC Chairman Steve Goode says that their choice from the new manager applicants is Tim Harris, ex-Gloucester City manager etc, because “he ticks every box for us”, a thought immediately crossed my mind.
“If he’s that good, how come he’s available, and no one else has beat us to him?”
Let’s face it, Worcester City Football Club would be very unlikely to feature very high on anyone’s ambition list. I will, however, wish him the best of luck – he’s going to need it!
