PERSHORE Town’s under-eights received a perfect lockdown pick-me-up from Liverpool coach John Achterberg.
Minis manager Tim Brown set up a video chat with the goalkeeping guru of the Premier League champions to inspire the Worcestershire club’s stars of tomorrow to stick with their efforts while not playing.

Achterberg is a legend on the Wirral having made more than 250 appearances for Tranmere Rovers where he became a coach before linking up with the Reds in 2009.
The Dutchman spent more than 10 years at Prenton Park having been signed by Kop legend John Aldridge in September 1998 from FC Utrecht in his native Holland.
He is now in his 10th season as Liverpool’s first-team goalkeeping coach.
“Tim asked me to send you a message about the lockdown and you trying to stay fit,” said Achterberg in the video.
“He has put (together) a challenge for you to stay fit, keep working hard so you are ready for when it is possible to play football again.
“We have to do the same here at Liverpool, to try to stay fit and keep working hard. Keep going all you guys, make sure you are ready to go again.
“Be positive and stay fit.”
