According to forecasters, any remaining snow move away to the south throughout Sunday evening, leaving a dry and very cold night with clearing skies. Breezy at first but winds easing later on.

Monday morning will be cold but dry and mostly sunny. Further spells of sunshine into the afternoon but the risk of one or two rain or hill snow showers by evening.

Tuesday will be overcast with areas of rain and sleet approaching into the afternoon, turning drier overnight.

Wednesday continues cloudy and wet with lengthy spells of rain arriving from the south-west in the late afternoon, persisting through the evening and overnight with a strengthening wind.

Thursday will be windy with patchy rain in places, gradually turning drier.
