THE coronavirus crisis has devastated the hospitality industry, with many pubs worried about the future.

With that in mind, we have picked five Evesham watering-holes we can't wait to revisit once the current restrictions are lifted.

1. The Royal Oak inn - Vine Street

The historic Royal Oak is an award winning establishment, known as a grand old town centre pub.

As you walk through the town, The Royal Oak immediately catches your eye and invites you inside.

The pub is known for its great steaks, home-made burgers, seasonal fish and fresh classic pub dishes.

The Royal Oak is always a popular destination for the locals as well as for people visiting Evesham, with friendly staff and food with seasonal and ethical ingredients provided by local suppliers.

It was also named the most pooch-friendly in the region in 2018, fighting off fierce competition from a number of dog-friendly pubs across the West Midlands to be named the regional winner of the DogBuddy dog-friendly pub award.

2. Ye Olde Red Horse - Vine Street

Another popular town centre pub is Ye Olde Red Horse.

Owned by Alwyn Sullivan, the Red Horse is a firm favourite among locals in the town and is known for its great beer and atmosphere.

This historical pub is a timber-framed 15th century coaching inn and one of the oldest hostelries the town.

The pub features oak panelling, beamed ceilings and, in the winter, roaring log fires - it is also Casque Marque accredited and regularly features in the Good Beer Guide.

In the summer, the pub also presents award-winning floral displays and opens up its unique courtyard with a lovely oval pond.

3. The Trumpet Inn - Merstow Green

The Trumpet Inn is a traditional pub, renowned for its friendly service and Hook Norton Ales.

The pub offers delicious home cooked food, including a mouth-watering Sunday roast, as well as great wines.

The Trumpet also has a beautiful beer garden for you to enjoy during those long summer nights.

4.The Cropthorne Bell - Main Road

The Cropthorne Bell was crowned the Evesham Journal’s Pub of the Year in 2019.

The pub is run by husband and wife team Jane Burney and Andre, who took over the running of the country pub in September 2016, and it has been going from strength-to-strength ever since.

The Bell has a warm and friendly atmosphere, created by the rustic blend of old and new and a roaring log fire.

With excellent food and attentive staff, the Bell is the ideal setting to enjoy some quality food.

5.The Bridge Inn - Offenham, Boat Lane

This delightful country pub on the banks of the river Avon serves great beer and pub classics.

The Bridge's extensive menu caters for all tastes, providing excellent quality and great value for money.

As well as traditional pub grub, The Bridge offers a large selection of real ales, lagers and spirits for you to enjoy.
