OUR own fabulous non-binary babe is still in the running to be crowned Ru Paul's Drag Race UK Qqeen escaping not one, but two eliminations on the hit BBC3 show.

Ginny Lemon, 31, from Worcester has survived two episodes of season two's drag race which airs every Thursday on BBC iPlayer.

The competition is heating up on and already we’ve seen two queens sashay away.

But our Ginny is proving to be a firm favourite. You may remember the sassy and stylish 'Queen of the Midlands' from their time on x-factor in 2017.

Ginny, who has the signature catchphrase 'fancy a slice?', burst onto TV screens saying - "I'm from Worcester- just like the sauce", during auditions held at Thorpe Park in Surrey, Greater London.

The 31-year-old said: "Although I was born in Droitwich I have lived in Worcester for over ten years now. It is such a bizarre and interesting place - but homely and warm. I am very proud of Worcester and have a lot of roots here. I was one of the founding members of Worcester Pride and heavily involved in Woo Fest. Worcester is a small rural town and it is not as vibrant as others. I am a huge advocate of the LGTBQ+ community here and using queer art form is the best way to express myself and bring some fabulousness to the city.

"I am openly non-binary, the terminology has expanded over the years an I am grateful for that, before I was queer. Now the language has changed the new terms are a way to express myself in this new age of language. I like to think I am an advocate for other non binary people in Worcester.

"Drag is my escape. I created Ginny Lemon after the death of my sister. It is pure escapism in the form of art. Ginny isn't my alter ego, she is a character I created out of an amalgamation of all sorts.

"Honestly though, I don't want to go all beauty pageant on you, but I want to thank the people of Worcester who have supported me and believed in me and my art. I wouldn't and couldn't have done it without them."
