RACHEAL James sent us this picture of her wedding to Ben on September 15 2012, a marriage that very nearly didn’t go ahead. Racheal said: “The limo chauffeur of the bride got lost on the way to Malvern Register Office. “We had five minutes to get there before the registrar was going to cancel the wedding. “We made it with a minute to spare and it was the happiest day of my life!”

ROSEMARY Preece sent us this picture of her wedding day with John 59 years ago on October 6 1962. Rosemary, of Malvern Link, said: “It was the best day of my life. I loved every minute. Nothing went wrong."

Annette Peachey’s wedding day memories will be a mixture of happiness and sadness this year.

Annette said: “I lost my lovely husband, Bernie, last July and would have been celebrating 49 years of marriage on March 4 this year. His birthday is February 15, the day after St Valentine’s and I shall have wonderful memories.

“Our wedding took place at St Kilvert’s church, Clyro in Radnorshire. We were both in the Army – Bernie in the Catering Corps and me in the QARANC – and stationed in Germany so it was a quick trip home to get wed and almost everything was organised by my wonderful mother.”

JACKIE Hollis, of Worcester, sent us this picture of the wedding day of her mum and dad. And it was a momentous day for Daniel and Betty Barnett – September 3 1939, the day Britain declared war against Hitler’s Germany. Jackie said: “Look at the fashion and stern faces compared to what they are today!”

Louise and Paul Starkey, of Worcester, were married on May 5 2018 and it was case of love finding a way. Louise said: “We met over 20 years ago and it didn’t work out. “Then one Halloween he walked into the same place we had met where he worked at all that time ago and where I was then working.”

Tom and Susan Poolton sent this picture of their wedding day at Birmingham Register Office on March 7 1970 – a day of heavy snow. The couple renewed their vows on their 25th and 50th anniversaries.
