AN alleged cannabis grower and a man accused of threatening a paramedic are some of the cases due to be heard in Worcester today.

Sean Carroll, 47, of Avening Close, Worcester is due at Worcester Magistrates Court for a public order offence. He is alleged to have used threatening, abusive, insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear or to provoke unlawful violence. This is said by the prosecution to have been directed at a paramedic and police officer on October 3 last year.

Alexandra Marcham, 34, of Yates Hay Road, Malvern is accused of assault by beating in Welland on December 23 last tear.

Alan Bonehill, 32, of The Holloway, Droitwich is due in court for assault by beating and for sending a an offensive/indecent/obscene or menacing message on January 13 this year.

Darren Pass, 50, of Barbourne Road is due in court accused of begging in a public place (St Martin's Quarter, Worcester) on January 13 this year.

Daniel Joseph is also due to answer two charges - assault by beating and criminal damage. The 44-year-old of Gamekeepers Drive, Worcester is accused of committing both offences in Worcester on January 4 last year.

Wesley Bates, 41, of Tunnel Hill, Worcester faces three charges - producing cannabis, possession of cannabis with intent to supply and possession of ammunition for a firearm without a certificate.

In Crown Court Tanika Attwood is due in for sentence. We previously reported how the mum admitted sending a threatening message but denied attacking a man’s car or fighting.

Attwood from Worcester is now banned from a city street as part of her bail conditions and pleaded guilty to the offence at an earlier hearing.

The 20-year-old, now living in Avon Road, Kidderminster, sent the 'threatening' communication between November 19 and December 5 last year.

However, the mother denied sending another similar communication to a different complainant between the same dates, criminal damage to a Seat Leon car on December 4 last year and affray, also alleged to have taken place on December 4 last year.

Several plea hearings are also listed today, including that of Shah Haque and Oliver Price and Kieron Sheridan. Sheridan, as previously reported, is due to face a charge of arson with intent to endanger life in Evesham.
