THE ongoing roadworks in St John’s move on to their next phase today with the complete closure of the area surrounding the work.
The following road closures come into effect today, and are expected to last for four weeks: St John’s from its junction with Bull Ring to its junction with Bransford Road; Bromyard Road from its junction with St John’s to its junction with Glebe Close; Bull Ring from its junction with Henwick Road to its junction with Bromwich Lane; and Henwick Road from its junction with St John’s to its junction with Bromyard Terrace.
Alternative routes will see traffic diverted as follows.
New Road to Bromyard Road diversion: Bromwich Road, Malvern Road, Hams Way, Grove Way, Bromyard Road and vice versa.
Henwick Road to Tybridge Street diversion: Henwick Road, Hylton Road, New Road.
New Road toHenwick Road diversion: Tybridge Street, Hylton Road, Henwick Road.
Also starting from today, Pierpoint Street will be shut for approximately three days, while footpath resurfacing work is carried out by Worcestershire County Council.
Traffic will have take an alternative route along Foregate Street, The Tything, St Oswald’s Road, Sansome Walk, Sansome Place, Sansome Street, St Nicholas Street, The Foregate and Foregate Street and vice versa.
