TODAY we meet Peter David Stokes, who lives in Diglis Water and has lived in the city for the best part of 72 years.

What do you like most about living in Worcester?

The city has been ruined by planners but it's still where I was born. I have plenty of memories of the old city and most of my family lives here, which is great.

Ashley’s

What about your favourite pub?

Wetherspoons.

What's the best memory of your time living here?

Getting married 51 years ago.

What one thing that has gone do you miss most?

I really miss lots and lots of great old pubs, the Vine, Anchor, Wetherspoon, New Inn, lots of real 'get-together' places.

What's your favourite building in the city?

The cathedral.

Have you got a favourite place to grab a coffee or tea?

There are none left.

And where would you go for a special meal?

Saffron’s.

What's the best place for a walk?

That's the riverside at Diglis past the city.

If you had a magic wand what one wish would you grant Worcester?

I'd ban cyclists and skateboarding from the city.
