MORE than 30 county people died of coronavirus in the week up to the end of February 19 - the latest week for which data is available.

The figure is the lowest in a number of weeks, showing the effect lockdown had begun to have in February on bringing the number of deaths down.

Latest Office for National Statistics (ONS) all settings figures, for the week ending February 19, show 33 county residents died - where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate - during that week.

The data shows three Worcester residents died that week, all in hospital. In that week, seven Wychavon residents died, three in hospital, three at home and one in a care home. Four Malvern residents died that week, all in hospital.

Nine Wyre Forest residents died that week, all in hospital, while two Redditch residents died, also both in hospital. And eight Bromsgrove residents died that week, all in hospital.
