ANOTHER business has joined up to support an art trail in the city.

A flooring company in Evesham is to back a large and small elephant for Worcester’s Big Parade this summer.

Paul Barratt, managing director of Karndean Designflooring, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be partnering with St Richard’s Hospice once again as it brings a second, spectacular art event to the county this summer.

“We loved being part of the giraffe trail in 2018 and grew very attached to our giraffe ‘Deco’.

"One of the parts we loved most was looking at all the artists designs and choosing one which best represented us here. We’re looking forward to bringing something unique and special to the county again."

The fibreglass elephants will be decorated and displayed in Worcester for eight weeks, forming a parade through city streets, shopping areas and public spaces.

Mr Barratt added: “We’re also particularly proud to be supporting a baby elephant this time, meaning that local children from St. Mary's in Evesham can join the parade.

"We’re sure the experience of designing, decorating and then seeing their work of art on display in Worcester is one which will leave a lasting impression with pupils and their families for many years to come.”
