THERE has been one new coronavirus related death recorded in Worcestershire's hospitals according to official statistics.

The latest NHS England daily figures, released this afternoon (March 7) show there has been one new death recorded at the Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, with its total now at 62.

No further deaths were recorded in the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, after four new deaths were recorded yesterday, meaning the total number of deaths at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS trust remains at 775.

In total, there have been 837 Covid-19 deaths in county hospitals.

And in all settings, which includes care homes and hospices, there have been at least 1,284 coronavirus deaths.

The Acute Hospitals Trust covers Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Evesham Community Hospital as well as the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital.

The Health and Care NHS trust covers community hospitals and rehabilitation wards, including Worcester City Impatient Unit, Malvern Community Hospital, Evesham Community Hospital, Pershore Community Hospital, the Princess of Wales Community Hospital in Bromsgrove, Tenbury Community Hospital and the Wyre Forest Ward.
