A MAN has been banned from driving for six months and fined more than £600 for failing to provide information to the police.

On August 20 last year, Craig Alexander failed to give information to the police in Droitwich relating to the identification of the driver of a Citroen who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

The case was proved by single justice procedure - where the defendant doesn't need to be in court - on January 21 2021.

Alexander, 43, of Coverham Road, Coleford, was fined £660, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £66 and costs of £90.

The driving ban was issued due to repeat offending.

A man has been fined more than £300 for speeding on the M5 in Worcester.

On October 10 last year, Michael Jones was caught driving at a speed exceeding 60 miles per hour on the M5.

The guilty plea was dealt with through the single justice procedure on January 8 2021.

Jones, 73, of The Old Forge, Twyning, was fined £368, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £37 and costs of £90 by Worcester Magistrates Court.

His driving record was also endorsed with five points.

Meanwhile, a man has failed to comply with the requirements of a community order.

Andrew Bullock failed to comply with the Kidderminster Magistrates Court order which was made on July 23 last year.

Bullock failed to attend a telephone supervision appointment on February 11 2021.

Bullock, 30, of Lilac Avenue, Worcester, failed to provide acceptable evidence to cover the absence within five working days.

He admitted the breach at Worcester Magistrates Court on March 19 2021.

He must now carry out unpaid work for 14 hours within the next twelve months, in addition to the original order made by the court.
