DIG out the fluffy pyjamas – overnight temperatures are going to plummet to freezing.

The post-Easter weather may not be providing much chance of snow but temperatures are set to plummet, particularly through the next few nights.

Thermometers are set to hit zero across Worcestershire and it will feel like minus four degrees in Worcester according to the latest Met Office forecast.

Worcester News:

Today will see a bright start cast under clouds approaching around noon, allowing for sunny spells but remaining cold especially with the wind.

There may be the odd shower but skies are expected to clear overnight, making for calm conditions that will see temperatures drop.

A widespread frost is expected to develop and alongside light winds it will feel bitterly cold tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.

The frosty start makes way for a bright and settled morning before a remote chance of scattered snow showers from around noon and continuing through the evening, although it is likelier that the most unpleasant weather will come from wind gusts of around 35mph.

From Wednesday and throughout the rest of the week it will remain largely cold, wintry and windy with widespread frosts.

Again, there is a small risk of some rain and snow Wednesday but chances are it will be a largely dry Thursday with winds strengthening.

Rain followed by wintry showers is expected on Friday.
