ALLEGED sex offenders accused of downloading indecent images of children or trying to make sexual contact with children are due to appear at a Worcester court today.

A man accused of a prison mutiny, a defendant said to have driven dangerously and two suspected prolific shoplifters from Worcester are also due to have their cases heard at what appears to be a very full day at Worcester Magistrates Court.

Christopher Hill , 36, Clun Forest Way, Honeybourne, Evesham is due up for three counts of making indecent images of a child between January 1, 2018 and August 24, 2018.

Nigel Edwards, 68, of The Paddles, Coddington, Ledbury is also due to appear for three counts of making indecent images of children as is Robert Webb, 57, of Hazewood Close, Worcester.

Edwards is accused of having indecent images at category A (340 images), the most serious level which shows adults raping children.

He is alleged to have made the images at categories A, B and C between March 28, 2016 and July 26, 2017.

Meanwhile, Shaun White, 28, of Spetchley Road, Worcester, is accused of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and attempting to cause a child aged 13 to watch/look at an image of sexual activity.

Ross Nelmes, 44, of Chedworth Drive, Warndon, Worcester faces multiple shoplifting charges and obstructing/resisting a constable in the execution of his duties.

Jacob Telford, 21, of Maple Avenue, Worcester is also due in court for multiple shop thefts. Richard Shanahan, 29, is due up accused of participating in a prison mutiny at HMP Long Lartin between October 10 and 13, 2017.

Jack Jones, 29, of Mayfield Road, Pershore, is due in court accused of dangerous driving in Pershore on August 9 last year. It is also said that he failed to identify the driver of a VW Golf suspected of an offence.

Meanwhile, at Worcester Crown Court the trial of men accused of GBH following an attack at the junction of Vincent Road and Wyld's Lane in Worcester ended without the need for a four week trial.

This followed several hours of legal arguments. Today three of the defendants - Ionut Tudor, Cristi-danniel Stefenescu and Maruis-anton Roman - are due to be sentenced following the attack on August 2 last year.

A series of plea hearings are also due to take place at crown this morning.
