A DRUG dealer has admitted supplying cocaine and heroin in Worcester and is now facing a jail sentence.

Naomi Harris of Dent Close, Worcester appeared at Worcester Crown Court on Wednesday where she admitted a string of drugs offences.

The 29-year-old admitted being concerned in an offer to supply a class A drug to another (cocaine) between March 28 and April 3 2019, possession of heroin on April 3 last 2019 and being concerned in the supply of heroin and cocaine after she was convicted at magistrates court on March 8 this year. Harris denied possession of a hunting knife on April 2, 2019. The disposal of this charge will be dealt with at the next hearing.

Her co-defendant, Kenneth Wilson, was not arraigned at the request of his barrister, Robert Tolhurst.

We previously reported how the 66-year-old of Ombersley Street West, Droitwich, was charged with permitting a premises to be used for supply of cocaine and heroin at John Gwynne House in Newport Street, Worcester between April 2, 2014 and April 3, 2019.

William Dudley, for Harris, asked for a pre-sentence report to be prepared by the probation service and the case was adjourned until May 17 for sentence.

"She has not been in trouble at all for two years" said Mr Dudley. However, he said his client was aware that she was at risk of immediate custody.

Judge Nicholas Cole, who authorised the preparation of the report, said it was appropriate that the court had more information about Harris before passing sentence.

He added: "I make plain that all options remain open including immediate custody."

Judge Cole added one condition of bail - that Harris co-operate with the probation service in the preparation of that report. He stressed that he made no promise as to how the court would ultimately deal with her.

The case of Wilson will be listed alongside that of Harris when any charges are expected to be formally put to the defendant.

Wilson was granted unconditional bail.
