SIR – Murder is thankfully rare in this country and murderers have many motives for their crime.

So by identifying ‘misogyny’ for a particular murder, and especially with his statement that ‘by our collective inactions we were all to an extent culpable,’ the King’s School headmaster risks creating a toxic atmosphere in his school.

This is going down a harmful route.

In a short Worcester News article he manages to get in all the right politically correct buzzwords such as ‘diversity’ and ‘inclusion.’

But Woke political correctness has caused huge damage in US universities and schools and is now harming our universities as it spreads remorselessly.

We should prevent its introduction into our schools.

Respect is inculcated by including it the ‘hidden curriculum’– in other words in everything a school does, not by sloganising and spreading collective guilt and division.

Previous headmasters understood this.
