A man has been arrested after a 'substantial number' of cannabis plants were seized from a house in Worcester.

Police visited Church Road yesterday (29 April) to find the substantial grow of cannabis.

A man, aged 32 was arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis.

Chief Inspector for local policing, Gareth Morgan, said: “Yesterday, we disrupted a large cannabis cultivation in Worcester arrested a man on suspicion of production of cannabis.”

“We seized 63 adult plants and 99 young plants from the address and we will continue to pursue those involved in the production and supply of drugs in our community.

"The successful warrant, involving our safer neighbourhood team, response and our local priorities team is a clear message to would be criminals that we will continue to tackle serious organised crime and protect our community from potential harm.
