THE bank holiday weekend is upon us and these are the places you can still grab a meal.

While many restaurants and pubs on the high street are full to the brim with reservations for outdoor dining, fear not because there are a few places left you can visit. The eased restrictions mean outdoor dinning up for up to six people is allowed, so you can enjoy the 3 day weekend with family and friends.

The Olive Branch Mediterranean Bistro & Wine on Church Street is open for walk-ins this Saturday. The restaurant offers delicious meze platters, courtyard dining and a meticulous wine list.

Owner, Adam Giangnotti, said "It's a very nice spot. With 55 outdoor seats, its a lovely place for some sharing tapas". The bistro are doing special offers, allowing customers to buy 2 gin and tonics for £10 and sharing platters with a carafe of wine for £25.

Just next door is Impasto. Sharing the courtyard with The Olive Branch, this restaurant is serving fresh pasta and sourdough pizza all weekend. Mr Giangnotti said, "Even if you're not coming in, we're offering traditional food to take away".

Burger Shop on Cherry Tree Walk is also open. Slotted in the space between the railway arches near the train station, this restaurant is a vibrant place for burger fans. Whilst they've received a mass of booking requests, owner Rupert Davison said, "We're open for walk-ins and collections, it's fantastic to get business going again". The burger joint serves fresh burgers made from grass-fed beef and organic vegan buns.

Located in the arch next door is Maneki Ramen. The Tokyo inspired ramen restaurant is known for its modern interpretations of Japanese noodle bowls and snacks.

Mr Davison said, "Even if we're fully booked, please do give us a call as we'll do what we can to squeeze you in". Serving your food under the cover, the weather won't keep you away from your lunch. This restaurant is perfect for a quick bite and if you're feeling something sweet, try out their delicious miso custard caramel tart served with yuzu icecream.

The Swan on New Street is taking also bookings on their website for this weekend as well as walk-ins. Kirsty Smith, manager, has said "We're just glad to be back open and looking forward to see anyone that's coming in this weekend. The pub is known for its craft beer and artisan drinks.
