MORRISONS has launched a discreet new service which offers free period products for those most in need.
The 'Ask for Sandy' scheme urges shoppers most in need to head to any Morrisons’ branch’s customer service desk.
The person who needs the sanitary products should say to a staff member at the desk they are looking for a package for Sandy.
A Morrisons staff member will then give a discreet envelope with the sanitary products the person needs for free
All Morrisons stores are rolling out the scheme including our nearest supermarkets in Malvern and Droitwich.
The scheme is the latest bid to try to end period poverty in the UK.
Chancellor Rishi Sunak last year announced the Government’s plans to end the tampon tax and abolish VAT on women’s sanitary products from 2021.
