A WOMAN has been banned from driving for two years and given a community order for drink-driving.

On April 25, 2021, Susan Henshaw was caught drink-driving on the B4197 in Great Witley.

She was found to have 93 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath - the legal limit is 35mcg.

Henshaw, 49, of Suffolk Lane, Abberley, near Worcester, pleaded guilty to the charge at Worcester Magistrates Court on May 11, 2021.

She was given a community order and will be under a curfew with electronic monitoring for eight weeks from May 11 2021 to July 5 2021.

She was banned from driving for 24 months, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and also costs of £135 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

The driving ban will be reduced by 183 days if by September 8 2022 she satisfactorily completes a course.

Meanwhile, a woman from Worcester has been fined for speeding.

On October 7 last year, Amanda Jones was caught driving on the A38 Droitwich Road in Fernhill Heath, a restricted road, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour.

The verdict was proved by single justice procedure at Hereford Magistrates Court on May 6 2021.

Jones, 39, of Canterbury Road, Worcester, was fined £220, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and also costs of £90.

Her driving record was also endorsed with three points.
