The A49 north of Hereford will be reduced to one lane for the next 24 weeks
A MAIN road on the outskirts of Hereford will be reduced to one lane until August due to works for a new housing development.
Herefordshire Council said temporary traffic lights will be on the A49 north of the Starting Gate roundabout from today (Monday, May 17) for 24 weeks until August 27.
The works, which will only be from 8am to 5pm on weekdays is so Montel Engineering and Bloor Homes can carry out work for a new housing development.
The A49 will be reduced to one lane for the duration of the works, with the temporary traffic lights on 24 hours a day.
