A WOMAN from Worcester has been fined for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour.

In Hereford on January 15 2021, Lieann Smith - with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress to a woman -used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour, thereby causing that person or another harassment, alarm or distress.

Smith, 37, of Trelawney Close, Worcester, pleaded not guilty to the charge on March 12 2021, but the verdict was proved in absence at Hereford Magistrates Court on May 24 2021.

Smith was fined £220, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34, and to pay costs of £200 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Meanwhile, a man has been fined for driving without due care and attention.

On November 27 last year, Kevin Browne, drove a man curtain sided 15 ton LGV on the A69 Eastbound at the Hexham interchange without due care and attention.

Browne, 59, of Mickleton Road, Evesham, pleaded guilty to the charge at Worcester Magistrates Court on May 25 2021.

He was fined £400, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £40 and costs of £135 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

His driving record was also endorsed with seven points.
