DEAR Editor – I regularly receive ‘They Work For You’ updates, which tell me how the MP for Worcester has voted in Parliament. Without fail, they make for depressing reading.
For example, on May 26, Robin Walker voted against four amendments to the Environment Bill.
These were: to prepare a Tree Strategy for England; to conserve and enhance biodiversity; to ban fracking; to ban burning of peat in upland areas.
More than 300 councils in the UK have declared a climate emergency. In November, the UK will host the UN Climate Change Conference. And yet, our MP has consistently voted against measures that would preserve and enhance our environment.
This isn’t about party politics – this is about ensuring we have a world in which we can all be healthy and happy.
