THERE were two Covid deaths across 'all settings' in Worcestershire in the latest week for which data has been released.

The latest Office for National Statistics (ONS) figures, for the week ending May 28, show the two deaths were of a Worcester resident who died in hospital, and a Wyre Forest resident who died at home.

Nobody from Worcestershire died in a care home, hospice, or a communal setting during that week.

It means a total of 1,358 people from Worcestershire have died since the beginning of the pandemic, with Covid mentioned on the death certificate, including 203 Worcester residents.

A total of 203 people from Worcester have died from Covid including 112 people in hospital and 74 in a care home.

Ten people from Worcester have died from Covid at home and four people have died in a hospice. Three people from the city have died in other communal settings.

145 people from Malvern Hills have died from Covid including 82 at hospital, 53 in a care home and six at home. Two Malvern residents have died from Covid in a hospice and two people have died in other communal settings.

In Wychavon, which includes Evesham, Pershore and Droitwich, a total of 276 people have died from Covid including 167 people in hospital and 78 people in a care home. A total of 16 people from Wychavon have died at home from Covid and seven people have died in a hospice. Seven people have died in other communal settings and one person has died elsewhere.

A total of 265 people from Bromsgrove have died including 169 in hospital, 83 in a care home, seven at home and four elsewhere.Two people from Bromsgrove have died in other communal settings.

A total of 193 people from Redditch have died where Covid was mentioned on the death certificate including 156 people at hospital, 27 people in a care home and seven people at home. Three people from Redditch have died from Covid in other communal settings.

276 people from Wyre Forest have died from Covid including 185 people in hospital, 68 in a care home and 18 people have died at home. One person from Wyre Forest has died from Covid in a hospice, two have died in other communal settings and two people had died elsewhere.
