A driver has admitted causing death by dangerous driving following a crash which killed his young passenger. Pawel Szumlanski indicated a guilty plea when he appeared before magistrates in Worcester on Thursday after he crashed into an HGV at Pinvin, near Pershore, killing his passenger Kamil Jerzy Lasocha. An armed man who shot at a police car during a high speed chase in Worcester has been jailed for 14 years while his two passengers have also received long jail sentences. There was wailing in the public gallery as Gerard Doherty, the man who pulled the trigger, wept and put his head in his hands as he learned his fate at Worcester Crown Court yesterday. Disgraced trustee Abdul Sahid faces being banned from Worcester Central Mosque having assaulted its secretary. Abdul Sahid, 54, of Northfield Street, Worcester, was found guilty of assaulting Saiful Islam at the mosque on Lowesmoor, Worcester, when he appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on June 1. A REPEAT child sex offender from Worcester who had thousands of indecent images of babies and children being abused has walked free yet again. Cliff Butler, of Primrose Crescent, St Peter’s, Worcester had more than 800 indecent images of children in category A alone, which shows the worst kind of sexual abuse including rape, and over 2,000 images in total.
