Worcester residents are gearing up for the England game today as they decorate their homes in celebration.

Patriotic football fans - like Emma Clarke, from Swaledale Court, Warndon, is among those who have decorated their homes with England flags as they get ready for today's (June 13) match against Croatia.

Emma Clarke, from Worcester said: "It's nice to celebrate something other than a seasonal holiday again. We always look forward to the England games and the kids are excited to see the sport back."

Fans are set to flock to pubs in Worcester city centre and across the county for England's first match of the Euros 2020 tournament.

It is the 16th European Championship organized by the Union of European Football Associations. The tournament has kept the 2020 logo and official name after having been postponed a year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The games will be held across the continent for the first time in the competition's 60-year history, with 11 host cities in all. The tournament, which started on Friday (June 9), will be going on till July 11.
