Over the past year the social media platform has gained huge international traction and has now become the go to place for chefs, foodies and budding content creators to share their favourite recipes.

There are loads of quirky food trends circulating online at the moment, so working out which ones are worth the hype can be a time-consuming task.

The team at Groubook have compiled a list of the tastiest TikTok recipes so you can try and replicate some of the weird and wonderful online obsessions at home right now.

Pesto eggs

An unlikely pairing at a first glance but once you try it, you’ll have only wished you tried it earlier. No need for oil here. Just a spoonful of pesto in a hot frying pan, crack your egg and voila. Serve on some fresh sourdough bread or just enjoy the fresh basil and pine nut flavourings on their own. Maybe this modern Italian take on the classic fried egg could be exactly the sort of addition we need to the humble English Breakfast.
