ONE of the constant themes in your stories of your new babies is the praise for the teams of midwives at the Royal Worcestershire Hospital.

And that’s the case again this week as we say hello to Ronny-Jay Fewtrell, who came into the world on Monday, April 5, weighing a whopping 11lb 5.5oz, a new son for proud parents Scott Fewtrell and Jade Bayer and a (not-so) little brother for Analise, Vinny and Shiloh.

Mum Jade said: “I was induced due to having a big baby, and big he was!

“We waited three days at the hospital and can’t thank midwives enough for their continued support and work with me and the baby through my traumatic labour.

“A special thank you to Karen who stayed after her shift to weigh and change Ronny, she was superb throughout.

“We were within minutes of electing for a c-section due to the length of labour.

“She explained the procedure of an epidural, which we went with, and ended in the successful delivery of our son.”
