If you’re planning to attend Wednesday’s crucial Euros semi-final between England and Denmark then you’ll need to act quick as Worcester’s bars are filling up.

Last weekend hoards of passionate football fans ascended on The Cross after the Three Lions’ 4-0 quarter-final victory over Ukraine.

Similar scenes are expected on Wednesday with many of the city’s bars already sold out.

The Conservatory Bar, Mode, O’Neill’s and Talbot are all completely booked ahead of Wednesday's important match.

The Courtyard was bombarded with requests immediately after the final whistle on Saturday.

A spokesperson of the bar said: “We got inundated as soon as the game finished. We had about 600 messages for seats.”

With such high demand The Courtyard, like others, are running a deposit scheme where you will be paid back in drink tokens upon arrival.

Although there are almost 250 seats available at the venue they said they expect to be booked up by Tuesday lunchtime.

Tables are also going fast at Pershore RFC, the Swan Inn, Saracen’s Head and Firefly with just a handful of tables available at each.

Firefly employee Ray Velasquez said: “We’re at about 70 per cent capacity at the moment but expect to be full by this evening (Monday).

“We’ve already taken a number of bookings for Sunday evening’s final, so confidence is high.”

Tickets for the screening Sixways Stadium went online Monday morning but there were just 100 remaining by midday so you will have to be quick to secure a seat at the home of Worcester Warriors.

If you’ve left it late then don’t fear as there are a number of bars offering walk-ins.

The Exchange, The Old Greyhound and Horn & Trumpet are all not taking bookings and will be offering tables on a first come first served basis, so get there early to avoid disappointment.
