A huge roar could likely be heard over the city of Worcester after England secured their place in the final with an extra time penalty.

After a tense 90 minutes saw the semi final between England and Denmark level at 1-1, everyone was at the edge of their seat as the game went into the final 30minutes.

And punters at The Alma Tavern were rejoicing when winger Raheem Sterling earned the Lions a penalty after 100minutes.

Caught on video, fans at the pub were distraght initially when captain Harry Kane saw his frst effort saved, but were soon cheering loudly when he scored on the rebound.

Pubs throughout the city have been packed as possible within Covid regulations in the run up to the game, the first time England have been to a semi-final of an international competition since 1996.

And now they are in their first international final since that fated World Cup in 1966.

The streets of the city have already seen a carnival atmosphere as the nation has progressed through the tournament.

It even prompted police to block off The Cross ahead of tonight's game.

But the party scene we have seen so far will likely pale in comparison to what we will see on the final on Sunday, July 11.
