A POPULAR city play park is closed today.
One of the two play areas in Worcester Woods Country Park is closed off to the public for 'refurbishment'.
The cafe, the woods and the second play area for larger children remains open as usual.
A spokesperson for Worcestershire County Council said: “One of the play areas Is currently being refurbished, and it will be re-opening later this summer, before the start of the school holidays.
"Other on-site play areas and the main Worcester Woods Country Park site are still open as normal.”
A mum who went to use the park this morning shared this post on social media warning other parents.
It read: "Just a heads up, the park at the Worcester woods is closed for refurbishment. I just wanted to save anyone a wasted journey if you were thinking of using the park."
