AN Ombersley Showcase is being held this weekend to help highlight local businesses, groups and organisations and to support them in their recovery from the pandemic.
The event, jointly organised by Ombersley & Doverdale Parish Council and Ombersley Memorial Village Hall, will take place on Saturday, July 17, between 1pm and 5pm.
It will feature displays from local fitness instructors including Sweaty Mamas, Zumba, Ollie’s Personal Fitness and Penniphysio (yoga), stalls from local artisan companies producing items such as Children’s clothing and Silver jewellery making, as well as candles, diffusers and room fresheners.
In addition, a local author Claire Gathercole will be offering her book for sale as well as home-made jam and marmalade.
Ombersley Tennis Club, Cricket club and Golf club will all be there offering people a chance to test their skills and maybe join.
Other local business in attendance range from architects, will writers to local hostelries and kitchen designers.
Judy Goodman, chair of Ombersley & Doverdale Parish Council, said: “We are totally committed to supporting our local businesses recover from a very difficult last 18 months and let them know that we are here to help them.
“Ombersley and Doverdale have a wonderful and thriving array of businesses, pubs, restaurants, artisan producers, groups and organisations and we want to make sure that they can continue to prosper in the future.”
