A MOTOR company in Worcestershire has had to shut down their on-site restaurant after a member of staff received a notification to isolate from the NHS Covid-19 app.
Morgan Motors, in Malvern, made the decision yesterday (July 22) after a member of the catering team received a 'ping' from the NHS Test and Trace app, asking them to isolate.
The company said they took action straight away.
A spokesman said: "In line with government guidelines and with the safety of our staff and customers in mind, we have made the decision to close The Canteen, Morgan’s on site restaurant at The Morgan Experience Centre, following a notification that one of the catering staff should isolate.
"We continue to operate a robust Covid-19 policy for staff and visitors, including the continuation of face masks within buildings. We have been commended by visitors for our approach to Covid-19 safety protocol throughout the pandemic, and feel confident that we have done all we can"
They added:"Other visitor attractions remain unaffected and we will be continuing to encourage testing among all staff. Next week is the Morgan Motor Company annual Summer shutdown so the business will close for a week, we expect The Canteen to reopen after that closure and look forward to welcoming visitors"
The company is currently looking for emergency serving staff to serve coffee and cakes to customers for the rest of this week
