A FREE activity for families will let kids step into the shoes of Indiana Jones, as they spend the day uncovering history.
The Worcestershire Archives and Archaeology team is holding Family Archaeology Quests at The Hive this Friday (July 30) between 10am and 1pm.
Ian Mackey, community project officer, said: "We’re looking forward to taking our Family Archaeology Quest to libraries this summer.
"It’s great to be able to provide this opportunity for children and families to explore the past. We have a number of challenges to inspire the children and help them discover what it’s like to be an archaeologist."
Families will be able to try their hands at several challenges to give them an insight into common archaeology techniques, which will be let by expert staff.
They will also be able to explore archived items and get an insight on how history is recorded within the grounds.
Councillor Matt Dormer said: "The Worcestershire Archives and Archaeology Service provides a range of opportunities for people to explore the past.
"The events give the next generation of archaeologists a chance to get involved and be inspired."
Tickets for the event must be booked in advance on www.explorethepast.co.uk/events.
