After being accepted to compete in the Miss Swimsuit competition, a variety of opportunities have been presented to Alice including the chance to compete in the UK Calendar Girls competition.

"I had a few photographers reach out to me after Miss Swimsuit to take some shots of me in my swimsuit and then from networking with other contestants, I realised a lot of girls have entered UK Calendar Girls," said Alice.

"I had to go through a selection process which involved photographs being taken of me without any make up and are quite natural shots.

"I was then selected to got through to the casting day which was held in Bristol at Ashton Gate Stadium.

"All the girls were there for different reasons, some with mental health reason and it was just so empowering to be around.

"It has really helped build my confidence in front of the camera as its made me feel empowered and it doesn't matter what your body shape is or what you look like."

Over 1,000 people applied for the calendar competition, with 220 selected to go through to the next round which involves the public voting for their winner via a phone number.

Alice, who due to start a part-time masters degree in Advanced Clinical Practice this September, added: "My vote card can be accessed via the UK Calendar Girls website and the votes are made by texting: UKCG 155 to 81400.

"Texts do cost £1.50 but 15 per cent from each text message cost is going to the competitions chosen charities which are The Chestnut Appeal and Mental Health Awareness.

"I am also trying to organise to go down to Bristol with a few other contestants to fundraise for the charities."

Eighty girls with the most votes are then put through to the final with 12 winners achieving a place on the calendar.

As well as her passion for all things body positivity, Alice is a keen Cross- Fit enthusiast with her dream being to become a fitness model.

"Cross Fit is performance focused and is not image related, its all about power and strength which has provided me a good outlook on fitness.

"I have recently done a photoshoot with True Athletic Fitness in Manchester and it was amazing to work with people in that industry.

"Entering Miss Swimsuit UK has improved my confidence massively. I really got knocked back last year after going through a break up so this year I ahve just gone for it!

"I feel like I am just chasing the dream at the minute."

Alice also volunteers with Sunflowers Suicide Charity, and has recently became a suicide first aider which she hopes may help someone in the need for the future.
