THE newly-reintroduced Saturday Skips scheme is back, so where can you dispose of household goods this weekend?

This Saturday (July 31) sees the skip set up in Waverly Street.

Worcester residents can once again use mobile skips to dispose of furniture and household goods.

The Saturday Skip service is designed to provide a free local disposal point for residents who are unable to transport bulky household waste items to Worcester's Household Recycling Centres

Residents who are able to transport items to their local HRC should continue to use these facilities which provide a wide range of recycling options.

Safe zones will be created to ensure that visitors to the site are kept clear of vehicles; in addition loading of waste will be carried out by trained City Council staff only.

Garden waste is separated for composting, wood and metals are separated for recycling at the sites

Here is the schedule for the rest of the summer:

July 31 2021 08:00-12:00 Waverly Street

August 7 2021 08:00-12:00 Weir Lane

August 14 2021 08:00-12:00 Tolladine Road

August 21 2021 08:00-12:00 Shap Drive

Fortnightly collections of garden waste are also available between March and December (www.worcester.gov.uk/recycling-waste/garden-waste-collections)
