THE CITY's Tokyo-inspired pop-up has re-opened its doors last week for residents to enjoy the new restaurant.

Maneki Ramen, on Cherry Tree Walk, has finally completed renovations and extended their pop-up to a 'full-scale' indoor dining experience.

The new and improved Japanese restaurant re-opened on July 28, after starting the renovation work back in March.

Head chef Pete Dovaston thanked customers for their patience.

"Thank you so much for everyone’s patience while we built the new restaurant. We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been doing and welcome you to a great new place to get ramen in Worcester," he said.

The restaurant serves a range of ramen bowls and Japanese side dishes with a modern twist as well as an eight-course tasting menu paired with natural wines.

Restaurant group A Rule of Tum who own the restaurant also own Burger Shop in Worcester and The Burger Shop, The Bookshop and The Yard in Hereford.

Group director, Dorian Kirk, said Maneki Ramen was a great addition to their franchise. He said: "We are keen to support talented young chefs and to develop innovative concepts, in line with our ambitions to make and serve delicious food in wonderful spaces".
