A Worcestershire gardening business has scooped a national award.

Instant Scenery is one of 79 National Landscape Award winners announced by the British Association of Landscaping Industry (BALI).

The Kempsey-based company will be invited to the final’s ceremony in London on December 3, when it will be up for the principal award for its category as well as the overall grand prize.

Instant Scenery was founded by Daniel Powell in 2009 and it was a garden he designed last year that bagged them the prestigious award.

He said: “To win this award it means recognition within the landscaping industry alongside being commended for the high standard of work that I and the team strive to deliver in every project that we do.

“The customer was delighted with outcome, the choice of materials, shapes used, and design use of the garden. This was further recognised by the BALI judging panel who visited the garden.

“Meeting the needs of the customer by creating and maintaining beautiful gardens is a key aspect of what Instant Scenery desire to achieve with all of our projects.

“This also goes alongside providing experiences for the Instant Scenery team ensuring they have many opportunities, gain recognition and take a huge amount of pride in all our customers gardens.”

Chairman of the awards, John Melmoe, said: “Each year the content of the entries takes on a new dynamic and this year was no exception. I was delighted to see the strong uptake of online submission for entry into this year’s Awards which represents a major step forward. We look forward to sharing members’ successes with you all in December.

“The kudos of receiving a National Landscape Award still resonates throughout the industry with entrants continuing to hold the site inspections in high regard.”

Wayne Grills, chief executive of BALI, added: “Every year I am blown away by the level of excellence displayed in the entries to our National Landscape Awards and this year is no exception.

“The number of entries that have triumphed is a true testament to the hard work and high standards of all our Association members.”
