BEAUTIFUL manor house The Nash in Kempsey has sold after being on the market £3million.

A buyer has been found for the popular wedding venue which is now showing as sold subject to contracts on RightMove.

The prestigious Elizabethan 13-bedroom country residence was listed on RightMove by estate agents RJ Country Homes on July 30.

Mystery surrounds who may be buying the previous wedding venue and what their intention is for The Nash.

But the sale has meant that organiser of a mansion party set to take place at the property has had to scramble to find a new venue.

Jay Newman, from Pro-ject Events, was due to hold Worcester Disco Festival's Party at the Manor at The Nash on Saturday, September 25.

However, with weeks to go he was informed of the sale and fortunately secured a new venue within a week.

Party at the Manor will now be held on the same date at Oakfield Gardens, Droitwich Road, Claines.

Mr Newman said: "We had planned a manor party at The Nash and it is a beautiful venue.

"Three weeks after announcing the event and with tickets sold they called to say the property had sold and the event wouldn't be able to go ahead.

"The last thing we wanted to do as promoters is changing or cancelling events and we like to do things to the highest level.

"Luckily, we managed to reorganise it within a week and didn't have to cancel as we were only four weeks away.

"We weren't going to let our customers down.

"We have still got the beautiful manor house backdrop as well as a magical woodland walk which leads to luxury tipis covered in fairylights."

Headlining is legendary DJ Jim Shaft Ryan, long time resident DJ at Miss Moneypennys and Chuff Chuff.
