A FARE dodger from Worcester who travelled on the railways without buying a ticket has been fined.
Terry Lippit, of Avon Road, Worcester travelled between Worcester and Birmingham New Street without paying his fare.
The 40-year-old's case was heard at Birmingham and Solihull Magistrates Court on Monday following the offence on March 8 this year.
He had been travelling on the Cross Country railway service without having previously paid his fare of £9.20 and 'with intent to avoid payment thereof'.
The case was proved in his absence. He was fined £220, ordered to pay compensation of £9.20 and a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.
Lippit also had to pay costs of £179.
A collection order was made.
