CHRISTMAS is just a few months away, and families across the UK are planning their festive food and drink shopping in what is usually the busiest time of the year for major supermarkets.

But with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, lorry driver shortages and Brexit many people are anxious about getting their Christmas day essentials.

For that reason, Christmas delivery slots are expected to be even more popular than usual.

As supermarkets release their slots early and they usually get booked up fast, you need to plan in advance and be quick.

Savvy shoppers who bag a slot will be able to stock up on all the Christmas essentials, from pigs and blankets to brussel sprouts and festive desserts to cheese boards.

All the supermarkets offer a variety of vegetarian and vegan options too.

These are the Christmas delivery slots for M&S and Waitrose:

M&S is asking shoppers to check their website on Tuesday, September 28 and Waitrose said slots will be open late September/early October.
