POLICE and emergency services have set up a cordon in Upton Upon Severn after a body was found.
Police vehicles and tape barriers are in place near the King's Head in High Street.
A West Mercia Police spokesman confirmed the body had been found in the toilets next to the pub, and that the death was not being treated as suspicious.
They said: "Police were called to the High Street in Upton-upon-Severn shortly before 8am this morning (September 27) in relation to a concern for safety.
"Upon arrival officers sadly found a deceased man. The death has been referred to the coroner and is not being treated as suspicious."
Police forensic teams have been at the scene this morning before a private ambulance arrived and left shortly afterwards.
Someone from the Map Shop said there had been a high police presence since the discovery.
"It's sad, really sad," she said.
A council team arrived at around 1pm when police began taking down the cordon.
