IT was a business exhibition where people were told to expect the unexpected.

And getting your haircut in the middle of Worcestershire Festival of Business was certainly unexpected.

Organisers called Thursday's event a 'huge success' with a wide variety of businesses from across the county networking.

Barbertown Worcester was even on hand to give any business people a quick trim if they needed it.

After last year's postponement due to Covid-19 and a change of venue to Sixways Stadium, the event returned for its seventh year.

Exhibitors were from a wide variety of business sectors reflecting the diverse nature of Worcestershire enterprise and entrepreneurship.

Event organiser Stuart Allen, of Worcestershire Enterprise Limited, said: “There was a palpable feeling of buzz and energy throughout the whole event.

"People seemed genuinely relieved and excited to be attending live business events again.”

The event was sponsored by Worcestershire LEP and chief executive Gary Woodman who was at Sixways Stadium said: "The last 18 months have provided some real challenges for businesses and it is fantastic to get businesses back together again, face to face, to build new connections.”

The event raised £500 for Bromsgrove's Primrose Hospice.
