TWO of Worcester's marvellous independents have come together to bring the taste of Italy and Greece to our faithful city.

Valentino's and The Sweet Greeks announced their new partnership on social media this week.

Longstanding family run restaurant Valentino's, who have been in The Foregate since 1995, are taking new boys on the block, The Sweet Greeks, under their wing.

Customers will now be able to get delicious desserts at Valentino's made especially for the partnership including cherry cheesecake and chocolate orange and amaretto cake.

The Sweet Greeks is a delivery and collection dessert business set up during lockdown by best friends Arion Zouliatis, 31, and Spiros Derezeletof, 27.

The two men who moved from Greece to Worcester set up the business in the hope of bringing all the flavours of Greece to Worcester.

Their extensive dessert menu is based on old family recipes and handmade fresh every day at their kitchen in a unit in the North Parade.

Arion said: "We are so grateful and excited about this partnership, Valentino's have supported us through our entire journey of setting up our business in Worcester. They have really helped us and looked after us, we can't thank them enough.

"We can't wait to bring some traditional Greek flavours to the people of Worcester, although unfortunately we cannot bring the Greek weather!"
