A TALENTED city teenager, who promised her appearance on a television reality show was just the start, impressed at a recent special show.

Lydia Beech wowed the judges during her appearance on The Voice Kids last year when the teenager, who is blind, narrowly missed out on a place in the semi final of the ITV show.

After that appearance Lydia told the Worcester News that it had been a positive experience and she definitely wanted to keep singing, and on Sunday she made her latest appearance at the Amber Trust's annual concert - a showcase for talented visually impaired and partially sighted young musicians.

The event was watched by more than 100 people in the audience at The Wathen Hall, St Paul’s School in London and many more followed the two-hour celebration on an internet live stream.

All 15 performers on the bill, including Worcester’s Lydia, closed the show with a Queen Medley.
