THERE’S nothing like starting early in life when it comes to launching your business – and there aren’t many who started things while they were still in their early teens.

But that’s the case with Holly Arnold, a pupil at Bowbrook House School, whose online business Art by Hollyyy, run from her Worcester base, has been going since May last year – and she’s still only 15.

Holly said: “I am just proud of how well my business is doing as I am only 15 years old! I also have a live interview on the radio talking about my business which I won’t forget as I was so nervous.

“There are many different techniques to create fluid art pieces, but essentially you are mixing and layering the paint to create patterns and details.

“I haven’t had any strange requests or stories from customers so far, but I do frequently get asked to create pieces based on people’s photos, wallpapers or materials which can be challenging.

“I’m still at school in my final year and so run my business around my GCSE studies.

“I only started fluid art to enter a school art competition but my teacher thought it was colourful and unique so I made some for presents and the business began from there.

“I now have an Etsy shop as well as my Instagram page. I am also taking part in some craft fayres in the lead-up to Christmas.”
